Many of us who’ve powered through the first half of the year will be starting to feel a little worn out – especially with the arrival of the winter months.
Australian Italian Leaders of Tomorrow (ALTO) is inviting Melburnians to unwind and recharge their batteries in an evening dedicated to health, vitality and rejuvenation.
The association’s next networking event, ‘Wellness for Work, Study and Life’, will take place on July 31 at Schiavello Showrooms in Southbank.
“At ALTO, we understand and value the importance of promoting wellbeing and mental clarity, to achieve and surpass the goals you’ve set for yourself,” the association said in a statement.
“A healthy body and healthy mind are critical to achieving great things personally and professionally.”
ALTO has put together a panel of experts dedicated to inspiring you in your endeavour to strive for the elusive work-life balance.
Esteemed panellists include: Dr Anthony Mariani, consultant physician in the fields of gastroenterology and internal medicine; Nathan Minicozzi, founder of Sumati Wellness; and Dr Romina Troiani, chiropractor at Oak Park Family Chiropractic.
Dr Mariani specialises in the benefits of the Mediterranean diet and has published a book titled The Mediterranean Diet: Food, Science and Health.
He’s played an extensive role in the development and promotion of preventive health care initiatives.
In his past position as president of the Italian Medical Society of Victoria, and role as a committee member, Dr Mariani has written, broadcast and lectured on his field of expertise within the Italian and wider community.
Meanwhile, Minicozzi is the brains behind a business which is based around one principle: “to help people realise their true beauty and appreciate who they are away from any external negative factors”.
Before founding Sumati Wellness, Minicozzi spent years within the corporate environment, living through the stressful and demanding situations that it often encompasses.
During this time, Minicozzi was constantly trying to stay grounded, calm and connected.
He found yoga and meditation helped him achieve this, which led him to discover his passion and true calling in life.
Last but not least, Dr Troiani offers holistic care, as well as musculoskeletal pain relief to people of all ages.
Her goal is to enrich the lives of those around her, and to inspire people to become happier and healthier versions of themselves.
Dr Troiani will be focusing on tips to stay healthy whilst exposed to the typical 24/7 stationary lifestyle of an office worker, offering more of a focus on physical health and body movement compared to the other guest speakers.
The upcoming network event will draw on the expertise of panellists to show you how you can live a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.
“A holistic approach to health and wellbeing is necessary to ensure we are all happy, healthy and prosperous in the years to come,” a member of the ALTO community said.
“The event is sure to provide many tips and expert discussion on how to live our best lives!”
