Italy in the Evolution of Europe since 1945

Webinar by Professor Joseph Halevi. The talk will highlight the main phases of the process of European economic integration and to single out Italy’s role and position in it. In particular, Prof. Halevi will point out how Italy and Germany represented right from the start the dual dimension of export oriented growth and integration, which in a nutshell encapsulated the duality of the EU well before its formation. It is on such a duality, which is now engulfing a larger number of countries, that the economic dynamics of the EU is being played out.
