Renaissance artist’s sketch in Sydney collection provides clues about Giorgione’s mysterious life
In 2017 a handwritten annotation was discovered on the last page of an edition of Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’, which was printed in Venice in 1497 by Pietro de’ Quarenghi and is now held at the University of Sydney’s Fisher Library.
